BAR-B-OKE TEAM RULES:

Entry Categories:

·  Entrants will submit one entry into each category:

 1. Chicken

         2.  Pork,

         3. Anything Goes

·  Anything Goes could be an appetizer, entrée, or dessert from the grill! From burgers and brats to wild game to bread puddings or your choice on dessert…literally ANYTHING GOES!

·  Cuts/meat chosen to grill is team preference! Wings, thighs, whole chicken, pork chops, ribs, loins, or butts, etc! If you have time to grill it…we will be glad to judge it!  Have fun and be creative!

Judging:

·  Meat will be inspected by the BBQ committee upon checking in. We ask everyone to be good sports and create a fair and fun environment for this neighborly competition.

·  Entries are judged on presentation (garnish/portions/neatness/creativity),  taste (smoke/spice/overall palate appeal), tenderness.  The City will provide presentation boxes, but the team must provide any garnish. 

·  Winners of each individual entry category will be awarded the following cash prizes:

•  1st ($300)
•          2nd ($200)
•          3rd ($100)

·  Grilling Space set up time:  6 AM - 9 AM.  Teams must be in their alloted places by 9 AM to qualify.  Money cannot be refunded if the team is not compliant on time restrictions. 

•  There will be a mandotary team meeting at 10 am in Playgarden Park Pavilion.  At least one of your team members must be present for the meeting. 

·  Turn-in time for team entries are as follows:

•  4:00 PM - Chicken
•       4:45 PM - Anything Goes
•       5:00 PM - Pork

Arrival & Setup:

·  Each space will have access to one 110 outlet if previously requested.

·  Entrants should provide their own extension cords for power.

·  Teams should provide their own tent, table & chairs, and smokers/grills.

·  All grill spaces should be cleaned and torn down by 8:30 PM.

·  Join us for karaoke when you are done grilling!
